Community Mental Health Resources

NAMI El Paso

A world where all people struggling with mental health can experience resilience, recovery, and, ultimately, wellness. That’s the goal of NAMI El Paso. The organization provides advocacy and support to individuals and families affected by mental health conditions, allowing them to build better lives.

Emergence Health Network

Designated as the Local Mental Health Authority (LMHA) in El Paso County, Emergence Health Network (EHN) provides trauma-informed care to individuals with mental and behavioral health needs. EHN is Joint Commission Accredited and recognized as Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics.

El Paso Behavioral Health System

Offering a number of inpatient and outpatient programs, El Paso Behavioral Health System tailors treatments to the unique needs and requirements of each individual. Their intake department is available to schedule no-cost assessments 24/7.

Peak Behavioral Health

Available 24/7, Peak Behavioral Health prioritizes mental health and provides a continuum of care—beginning with immediate inpatient crisis intervention and extending to substance abuse treatment, adolescent residential treatment, outpatient programs, and community treatment.

Mental Health Resources for Military, Military Families, and Veterans

Military OneSource

Established by the Defense Department, Military OneSource provides support for active-duty military personnel and their families. Military OneSource counselors are available for free, short-term individual counseling services, as well as family counseling.

The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors

With appointments available in person or via telehealth, The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors provides high-quality, accessible mental healthcare for all veterans, active duty military personnel, and their families.

Texas Veterans Portal

Through the Texas Veterans Portal, veterans and their families/caregivers are connected to benefits and resources earned through their military service—including dedicated Health & Wellness resources, resources for women veterans, disability services, and more.

Veterans Crisis Line

The Veterans Crisis Line provides 24/7 confidential crisis support to veterans and their families via phone call, text, or online chat. Veterans and their families do not need to be enrolled in VA benefits or healthcare coverage to connect.

Local Resources for El Paso’s LGBTQIA+ Community

Borderland Rainbow Center

The Borderland Rainbow Center promotes healing and empowerment to queer people of all ages through support groups, therapy, referrals, and education. They also provide evidence-based services and interventions, as well as a directory of resources for LGBTQIA+ members and their families.

Purple Pages of El Paso

A dedicated resource for El Paso’s LGBTQIA+ community, The Purple Pages of El Paso provides searchable directories of queer-friendly healthcare providers—including a dedicated directory for mental health and substance abuse treatment resources.

The Trevor Project

One of the more well-known national LGBTQIA+ organizations, The Trevor Project is a nonprofit organization focused on suicide prevention efforts among queer youth. Among the organization’s resources are crisis services and peer support.

PFLAG El Paso

PFLAG – which stands for Parents, Families, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays – is dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of queer folks. PFLAG provides support, education, and advocacy to queer folks of all ages and their loved ones.
